Groom & Menswear FAQ's
What happens in a fitting?
The first appointment is about us getting to know you and your suit requirements.
We may need to take your body measurements such as an inside leg measurement during your consultation so please wear clothes that allow accurate measurements to be taken.
How many fittings will I need?
1 Fitting is normal, but there may be occasions when 2 fittings are required.
We include a 1 x 20 minute appointment per person when you come to us.
Who can I bring with me to my fitting?
We encourage you to bring someone along with you to share your experience. There is enough room for 2 friends or family members to watch the fitting process. Children are welcome, but we would advise that an adult is present to supervise them.
How much will my alterations cost?
Expect to pay between £20 to £100 for suit alterations.
We take a £20 deposit upfront before we begin work on your suit, this is deductible from your final bill.
What should I bring to a fitting?
Please bring your shoes and braces / belt should you need to. Also please bring your tie, waistcoat etc with you for the fitting.

When should I book in for alterations?
As soon as you have your suit, we recommend booking in for a fitting and getting the process started. Depending on how busy we are, our lead times for alterations will change. We always suggest getting in touch at least 6-10 weeks before the big day. If you’re in need of last minute alterations, get in touch on 01432 632280 and we will see what we can do to help.
